Vote please - Head or Heart
I am in a better mood today (as you would have guessed), cos my son is doing better today. Thanks for all your prayers and comforting words of reassurance. Now I am just keeping my fingers cross for the birthday party to be a big hit.
That prompted me into writting this blog. How easily our minds sway with events and how it is not that easy to actually control our mind. I know these are just passing phases in life and that we gotta take them well into our stride. But how often does that happen in reality especially at that moment of occurence? These botherations can be in any form & for sure varies person to person.
It is more of heart rules the head rather than head rules the heart. Probably many out there do have heads ruling the heart - well then you do need an applause.
(Psss...Please share the secret with me!)

I am wondering if you think one is "Better" than the other?
I am very much a heart rules my head kinda gal. Why? Our heart is our love center, and I believe if we all "lived love," the world would be a better place.
When I feel "wronged" by another's words and/or actions, it is my heart that reminds me to let it go, instead of staying angry or hurt. (Like my head might be tempted to do.) To not do so, would change the person that I have worked so hard to become; a person willing to risk opening her heart enough to give and receive love in her own little corner of the world.

In my case the heart rules over the head.,
Even if a person is stoned hearted or his head rules over his heart, there definetly will come a moment where he will have to choose between the head and the heart and I am sure it will be the latter.

Nice to note the reason behind u going in for the heart. I agree with u from ur perspective but I still think there are times when head should rule the heart simply cos heart would want anything & everything but heads (I think) can differentiate between the right and the wrong (or not so right!).
As I said earlier I'm a heart gal too but feel that attimes the head gotta take over the heart(& that seldom happens with me!)

Welcome here. I'm not sad taht heart rules the head but I just feel that its better if the head has better control over the heart. Cos heart is like a child, wanting everything! Whereas head is like the parent trying to control & (supposed) to differentiate between the right & the wrong (for u). Hence I feel that there should be times when the head has better control.

imagine their old age when u got to do them all they did when u were a kid. the parent-child hierarchy is only for namesake then.
anyways, bottomline of what i am trying to say is that the analogy u gave suits ur point of view and is not objective...i see heart as something that gives everything, and all, and to me, it is the parent.
