Live it up
I'll be away from blogsville for the next few days....will come back & catch up with all ur posts........till then happy blogging! :)
This post is dedicated to all the people who lost their lives & their families in the 9/11 attack & 7/11 bombings
Obviously, yesterday I did think of the unfortunate 9/11 victims & my heart was filled with gloom & sorrow. And honestly, more sorrow for the families of the victims cos they can never get to see their loved ones again as they are still alive & the life will not be the same for them anymore after loosing the loved ones.
The victims ofcourse were the innocent ones who wld've started their day as yet another regular usual day, not anticipating what is in store for them.....that their life is actually gonna last for just a few more hours?
And that is the thought that prompted me to write this post. If suddenly you know that you are going to die & that time is not with u, would you have any regrets of not having done/achieved/said something during your lifetime? On the lighter side, I just remembered one of my school mates saying that she shd never die as a virgin! LOL! I knew of two people who lost their lives v.suddenly as they had started their day as just another normal usual day of their life but unfortunately that was their last day.
I think the key to my question would be to live each day to its fullest & to think that it is going to be the last day in your life.
- Be more loving & caring to ur family & loved ones
- Spend enuff time with them
- Say good things & be more generous in compliments
- Smile, hug & kiss the loving ones
- Fulfill all ur (feasible) desires
- Minimize ur regrets
- Leave behind a pleasant impression & memorable thoughts
- Do not save that perfume for a "special" occassion.....make each day special
- Donate ur eyes & other organs if you can
- Share the secrets with the person who is supposed to know
That was what I was able to come up with. Pls feel free to add on your list.

life is a gift. most often it is very difficult to live in a textbook fashion as you have laid out. Unexpected things pop up at various points and life is like a problem solving. some problems in life are hard, some are simple. It is a constant stream of challenging and simple problems, solving which gives lot of pleasure. Most often you dont even get to think what to do, we do what looks best at the moment. What do we do when we attend job interviews, when a tire blasts in the middle of highway, when unexpected things happen in families. We deal with each in isolation to the best of our capability.

Reach out to those who matter and say it to them.

I lost my best friend whom I shared all.
Nothing to share .....
/Fulfill all ur (feasible) desires

I don't think we can fulfill all our desires coz its endless
Try to learn to smile when people need.
These days we need to throw a penny for a smile when we see peoples eyes.

That was wonderful thought process, has-to-be-me Every single day is better spent when we spent it like our last day.
I dont have anything to add right now to your glorious list. Shall sure pitch in some time later.

on a diff note- don't use cell phone while driving - the phone can wait- god willing
spend that extra time with the kids- one day late to work won't matter- but that little smile & hug u get in return will be cherished

This is truly a heartfel post...what a beautiful dedication to those who we lost. As long as we have beautiful souls like u ard, life would be worthwhile.
**Do not save that perfume for a "special" occassion.....make each day special
thats so true! I just hate it when ppl save expensive things for 'later'...when would that be! I get so annoyed. I use whatever as soon as I get em.
Some great tips there to live more each day.
haha @virgin! Atleats I wanna fly Virgin Airlines and I did :):)
**If suddenly you know that you are going to die & that time is not with u, would you have any regrets of not having done/achieved/said something during your lifetime?
I'd have regretted few things in life but I have certainly gotten past them now. I have always done my best in life and there's only so much one can do. So no I wont be sad to leave. I'd just close my eyes and say goodbye world with a smile.
Keshi.

My motto in life is, SMILE. You don't want to die frowning and if you keep smiling, it doesn't matter when you die, it feels like you lived the life to fullest!

If I were to die, I think I'll not have any regrets. I've lived life the maximum I can and I've no more desires left. May be, I'll just pray to God to give me the same parents/husband if I have another birth ;-) and ask him to give courage to my loved ones to accept my loss.

Having lost so many people I love, I have learned to live life, and do the things I want to do before it is too late. Problem is when I cross one thing off I end up adding another to the "to do before I die list." Last year I put "grow out my hair to donate it to locks of love" on the list so this means I have to live at LEAST one more year to accomplish this, as it is just now past my shoulders and has to be a minimum of ten inches to donate.

Hey, dont u think it is better to die suddenly when u are least expecting it rather han waiting for it to come. i have seen it in the eyes of terminally ill patients . not everyone can live like Rajesh khanna of "anand".
